Experience Dance Throughout The World!
The Joyce Travel Program features trips to beautiful, exotic and adventurous places. Each customized trip is led by a Joyce director; private meetings with choreographers, dancers and artistic directors will make your travel experience truly unique.
Upcoming trips include:
Begin your journey in the capital city of Yangon the "Garden City of the East." Continue through the former capital of Mandalay to Mingun. Here, on the banks of the Irrawaddy River, embark on a three-day cruise experiencing river culture with stops in Saigaing and Bagan. A highlight of the trip is Inle Lake, where villages are built on stilts and boats are the sole means of transport. Local produce is grown in unique floating gardens and then sold at the spectacular floating market. Witness a Dance and Drama performance by the Mandalay Arts School.

Your eight-day humanitarian program begins in Havana, where you will explore this beautiful city through private tours, lectures, and dance company performances. You also will visit the dance studios of Danza Contemporánea de Cuba to witness a class and private rehearsal. The trip will continue on to Cienfuegos, the "Pearl of the South." Then you will take a beautiful train ride through the UNESCO protected Valley of the Sugar Mills, where you will stay two nights in colonial Trinidad de Cuba.

These travel dates were chosen to coincide with the annual Benois de la Danse ballet competition, which was founded by the International Dance Association in Moscow in 1991 and recognizes, with monetary awards, exceptional events that occured during the previous year on stages around the world. In addition to attending evening performances of the Benois Competition, the Opera and the Kirov Ballet, travelers will also tour these two cities by day, visiting the Mariinsky Theatre, the Vaganova Children’s Ballet School, the Hermitage, Yusupov Palace, Peterhof Palace, and the Kremlin grounds and Armoury, as well as many other beautiful historic sites.

The Joyce Theater trip to Indochina was the perfect combination of urban chaos, rural beauty, wonderful waterways, heartbreaking history, peaceful people and spiritual awakening. Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia's rich stories were conveyed superbly by Joyce Trustee Richard Ablon and an excellent collection of local guides. It was our third superlative Joyce trip. Heartfelt Thanks.

"The Joyce Cuba trip was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had from the standpoint of where we went, what we learned and what we saw. It was phenomenal. And traveling with The Joyce is wonderful!"
Jeff and Paula Gaynor
"It was a trip that will stay with me for a lifetime. Traveling with The Joyce was especially wonderful as we were exposed to Cubans and Cuban dance in a way which otherwise would not have been possible."
