Joyce Theater

Through its residency programs, The Joyce Theater Foundation provides choreographers with the resources necessary to sustain their artistic visions and to support the creation of new work. Artist residency opportunities are made possible by major grants from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Two unique residency initiatives are offered, each with different structures and awards: Creative Residency and Artist-In-Residence. Both initiatives are designed to provide choreographers with resources and services that support their artistic visions.

The Joyce’s support these past two years has been essential for my company and motivated us to reach for even greater artistic heights. But more than anything, my company has felt part of something larger these past two years, which has made such a difference to us.
