Not-for-Profit Dance companies perform at The Joyce under two different programs: the Engagement Assistance Program and the Dance Presentation Program.
To assist dance companies in presenting their New York engagements at The Joyce Theater, The Joyce Theater Foundation will provide production, marketing, box office, staffing, and other necessary facilities and services to support the engagements of select dance companies during the 2012-2013 season. A diverse range of dance companies will receive this assistance.
The costs for providing these facilities and services for a week-long engagement at the theater are approximately $80,000. The Joyce Theater Foundation covers the majority of these expenses through its fundraising efforts, leaving the companies selected for the Engagement Assistance Program to contribute only $25,000 - $35,000 toward these costs. Companies interested in participating in the 2012-2013 Engagement Assistance Program should contact Laura Diffenderfer, Programming Associate, by email or phone (212-691-9740 x 212) before December 16, 2011.

The Dance Presentation Program affords another opportunity for dance companies to perform at The Joyce. As the presenter, The Joyce provides the same package of services extended to companies participating in the Engagement Assistance Program. In addition, The Joyce covers the marketing and press expenses, and pays an agreed-upon performance fee to the companies.
Companies are invited to participate in the Dance Presenting Program by The Joyce's Director of Programming.
If you have any questions about either program, please contact Martin Wechsler, Director of Programming, at mwechsler@joyce.org, or Laura Diffenderfer, Programming Associate at laurad@joyce.org.
