Tomorrow’s Legs is an evening-length work that started with
improvisation in movement and text, uncovering the odd personal experiences life brings to the stage. Collaborating with experimental theater artist Peter Petralia the company and Tiffany are investigating a new direction; equally weighing dancer's stories and the company's idiosyncratic and athletic movement.

Sarah opens her process at this public rehearsal which shows the real system of working. She will be working on how to pass material between dancers and develop it into a performance. Her new work will have its premier in 2009.

HATTIE MAE WILLIAMS

Come join Hattie Mae Williams and the Tattooed Ballerinas for a
showing and discussion of a new work-in-progress, Pig Leg.
With projector footage by Christian Salazar a landscape has
been created with images of Baptist churches and peaceful cemeteries.
The piece is a personal statement about the past, the present, religion
and coming to terms with inevitable losses we each face.

The Joyce Theater Foundation is committed to helping the next generation of arts administrators. If you are interested in learning about what it takes to run The Joyce, Internships in the Fall, Spring and Summer season are available in the Arts Administrative areas of Programming, Development, Marketing, Finance and Education. Upper level high school, undergraduate, graduate students or early or late career professionals may apply throughout the year.
We ask that you send a cover letter, describing your background and skills, particularly as those skills relate to your administrative area(s) of interest and the time (months, days of week, number of hours etc.) that you are available for an internship, along with a current resume. Your resume will be forwarded to the appropriate department (s).
