The Joyce Theater has opened the New York Center for Creativity & Dance, a new space for ideation and the creation of movement. Formerly The Boys' Club, the New York Center for Creativity & Dance is a 58,000 square-feet, seven-story, and column-free building.

Class & Audition Rates

1-Hour Rental Minimum for class rates
Non-Profit Class Rate refers to any organization/individual classified as a non-profit holding a class, workshop, or audition.
For-Profit Class Rate refers to any organization/individual classified as a for-profit holding a class, workshop, or audition.

Subsidized Rehearsal Space

From March 2024 through December 2024, The Joyce Theater’s New York Center for Creativity & Dance is excited to offer $10/hr rehearsal space to nonprofit dance companies and freelance dance artists in Studios 1, 2, and 3. Space will be available to qualified renters on a first-come, first-served basis. The hours must be used for dance rehearsals for nonprofit/freelance entities only.

Use the rental inquiry form below to request space that is available after reviewing the studio calendars. Blocks that are filled in and labeled “busy” are not available to rent.

Rental Inquiry Form

Once we receive your rental inquiry form submission, our rentals team will process the request in a few days' time and reach out with a rental agreement reflecting your requested studio reservation. Once you have signed your agreement you will be prompted to pay online via SquareUp. Your space will not be considered confirmed until your agreement is signed, and payment is received.

EFFECTIVE WEDNESDAY, MAY 1ST:
All Credit Card payments over $500 are subject to a 3% processing fee.

Availability Calendars

Studios are only available to rent during the times listed below. Any rental requests made outside of these hours will not be granted. Slots marked as 'busy' are not available to book. Space is currently available to book through June 30, 2024. July 2024 availability will open at the beginning of May.
