Paul Taylor Dance Company

Tue Jun 17 - Sun Jun 22

“One of the most exciting, innovative, and delightful dance companies in the entire world.” (The New York Times) Paul Taylor Dance Company returns to The Joyce to take audiences deeper into Paul Taylor’s choreographic genius.

From Artistic Director Michael Novak come two unique programs featuring three reconstructions of Taylor dances not seen since the early 1970s: the avant-garde Tablet from 1960, featuring designs by Ellsworth Kelly; the hilarious, yet multi-layered, Noah’s Minstrels from 1973; and the disturbing Churchyard from 1969. Anchoring each program are celebrated Taylor masterworks: Esplanade, in honor of its 50th Anniversary, and Cloven Kingdom - two dances that established Taylor as one of the most transformative dancemakers of the 20th and 21st centuries.
